A week down in the IPC World Para Athletics Championships, opportunities are at a premium to experience the action at London Stadium. Ahead of the evening's events, we caught up with some spectators.
Steve, travelling in from Romford, noted the atmosphere at the championships so far.

“I'm looking forward to the atmosphere of the stadium and the tremendous performances of athletes across the board,†he said.

“As were walking around, it's just fantastic.â€

“I've been watching on the TV and have loved it so can't wait to go in,†said Gary from Shenfield.

British hopefuls Kadeena Cox and Paul Blake contested respective medal finals tonight and fans were in a hopeful mood.

“Kadeena will win definitely,†said Ian, father of para-athlete Dylan Harris, based in Reading.

A competitor at last years IPC European Championships in the T36 100m and 200m, he was enthusiastic about Cox’s chances.

“I'll be cheering her on and I really hope she gets a medal," he added.

Around all the home-nation fans, Michelle from Melbourne was quietly optimistic about the chances of Blake’s opponent, James Turner.

“It's gonna be a really good race, but I think the Aussies will edge it,†she said.

Turner goes for part two of his treble quest and she is hopeful of him getting one step closer,

“I hope so, fingers crossed,†she said.Â
