IN PROFILE // WEST HAM'S NEW ARRIVALS: PART THREE

As the transfer window closes, Manuel Pelligrini can reflect on a succesful summer of business at West Ham United. In anticipation of our first fixture at the Stadium, we take a look at the final three additions to West Ham's new-look squad.

These latest signings join a whole host of defensive reinforcements, attacking talent and an experienced management team, all set to make their mark this season...

Xande Silva

The pacey portuguese prodigy has represented his country at every level since his Under 15 debut in 2012. Whilst initially joining West Ham's famously succesful youth set up, Xande Silva arrives at London Stadium with 26 top flight appearences to his name, and will be pushing to make his mark at a senior level. The forward has scored 19 goals in 65 international appearences, helping Portugal's youth side reach the semi-finals of two European Championships.

Lucas Perez

From his humble beginnings in Galicia, Lucas Perez has played at the top level in the Ukraine, Greece, Spain and here in the Premier League with Arsenal. West Ham's Director of Football Mario Husillos tips Perez to provide Manuel Pelligrini with variety in attack, given the way his playing style differs from other strikers in the squad. The new management team know the striker well from their time working in Spain, and are certain they can get the best out of him.

Carlos Sanchez

Following his deadline day reveal live at London Stadium, Carlos Sanchez comes in as the perfect final addition to the West Ham squad. With the strength and ability to hold ground in the centre of the pitch, Carlos has earned the nickname 'La Roca', or 'The Rock'. A highly rated defensive midfielder, his experience includes three Copa Americas, two World Cups, six seasons in Ligue 1 and 48 Premier League appearences.
