State-of-the-Art lighting system unveiled before Europa League match at London Stadium

Following the installation of lights by Musco at the venue in 2020, London Stadium revealed the full capabilities in a spectacular show ahead of the first home Europa League fixture for West Ham this season.

The light-to-sound synchronisation, controlled and delivered by StadiumFX, utilised specially installed spotlights in addition to the LED floodlights, to deliver an impressive show for the attending crowd.

The new lighting system will be available for the full event schedule at the venue, which has previously hosted the 2015 Rugby World Cup, the London 2017 World Athletics Championships, the 2019 Major League Baseball London Series, and performers like the Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses and Beyoncé.

Graham Gilmore, CEO, London Stadium, said “The impressive new lighting system certainly adds that wow factor for all events, putting the visitor experience at the heart of everything we do here at the London Stadium. As a venue, this confirms our market leading credentials and will be a spectacular addition to our shows across a growing 2022 summer schedule.”
