Football is back and games don’t come any bigger that a visit from Premier League Champions Manchester City this weekend!
All eyes will be on London Stadium this Sunday, with David Moyes side looking to get off to a positive start in the 22/23 campaign. Attendees can look forward to significant improvements with the fan experience in mind, as progress is made on key areas in the venue.
The West Stand redevelopment will see an increases in capacity of approx. 1,700, with fans who have been relocated from the upper tier now closer to the pitch. The stand is straighter than before and, as a result, is 2m closer in the centre. In addition, the stand gives the Stadium flexibility to efficiently stage other events and get it back into football mode ahead of each season, with significant cost savings year on year.
Other recently made available seating will see the capacity raised to 62,500, making London Stadium the second largest venue in London and third biggest in the Premier League.
The installation of a new permanent bar area, running 110 metres of the Billy Bonds Stand, will serve customers with 150 new draught taps and a wide selection of food and drink options. Each bar will have Amstel, Heineken, Birra Moretti, Brixton, Inch’s & Strongbow Dark Fruit available on draught, with food concessions including Dino’s Famous hot dogs and Doritos Nachos returning alongside a variety of hot and cold catering, including vegan and vegetarian options for hungry visitors. All concessions are fully cashless, to speed up transactions and shorten wait times.
Early bird offers remain in place for those first in the venue, with Amstel and Inch’s Cider available at £6 a pint for the first 45 mins of entry, with a pie and pint available at £11.

Public transport remains the best and easiest way to get to and from the venue, further served by the addition of the Elizabeth Line service. This provides one of ten tube and train links that connect to the Stadium and Park via Stratford, Stratford International, Hackney Wick, Pudding Mill and Leyton stations. Please note that the Metropolitan Police and Premier League are taking a joint approach to dealing with possession and consumption of drugs at football stadia and its connections with disorder and poor behaviour. This will mean heightened searches and testing in all external and internal areas of the Stadium. Please be aware that possession of illegal drugs is a criminal offence and will be dealt with at the Stadium by police supported by Stadium Security.
