We're about to embark on another golden summer of athletics at London Stadium, over two weeks in July. Ahead of the Müller Anniversary Games on Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 July, London Stadium will host the inaugural Athletics World Cup, staged over two evening sessions on Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 July.

The event will see eight elite nations compete over the two sessions to win the first ever Athletics World Cup, a specially designed trophy.

If you have a ticket for the event this weekend, we've put together an info guide and brief FAQs to help you make the most of your trip to London Stadium.

 

What are the key timings for the Athletics World Cup?

 

LEAVING LONDON STADIUM

London Stadium provides designated walking routes to Stratford Station to support the safe journey home of all fans who attend events at the venue.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is a large, open public area and walking routes are implemented to ensure guests reach public transport hubs as quickly and safely as possible.

It is expected that fans will reach Stratford station within approximately 45 minutes from leaving London Stadium. To ease congestion into Stratford station, stop and go signs may be in operation on all routes, with stewards at hand to offer advice and to direct guests to their desired transport hub.

The safety of all guests visiting London Stadium is of paramount importance. Please assist our stewarding teams in this operation to ensure your journey home is as smooth as possible.

 

When is the box office open, and can I buy tickets on the day?

The London Stadium ticket office is open from 14:00 - 20:00 each day, with any remaining tickets on sale in person at this time. Ticket 

 

Can I collect my tickets?

All our tickets are fulfilled in advance of the event, but in the rare instance in which ticket collection may be required, please visit the London Stadium ticket office on the event day for which your tickets have been bought.

 

Can I bring a camera?

We understand that amateur photography is part of the enjoyment when attending live athletics. We know we have the world’s most passionate and knowledgeable spectators, and as such we want them to be able to take home as many memories of top class athletics as possible

Cameras (and accompanying camera bags no bigger than 30cm x 20cm) with a maximum lens length of six inches are permitted – if you have a lens length that extends beyond six inches we politely request that you keep to this length as a maximum so to not block the view of those next to or behind you in the stadium. Failure to do so will result in potential ejection from the event.

Professional camera equipment such as tripods can only be used by accredited photographers and are not permitted in spectator areas.

Binoculars and accompanying carry cases are permitted.

 

I am an accessible customer arriving at the venue using public transport, what's the best way of getting to London Stadium?

London Stadium is a venue for all, and boasts a range of accessible features to ensure your event day experience is as enjoyable as possible. 

We have an accessible team operating at the venue for all our concerts, as well as a dedicated accessible shuttle bus service operating from Platform 13 at Stratford Station, and dropping off at Bridge three at London Stadium. The first bus will depart from Stratford Station at 3pm, and the final service will return from Bridge three at midnight following the conclusion of the show.

Keep an eye out for our accessibility team (dressed in Pink), who will be on hand at all areas of your journey and inside London Stadium and more than happy to help throughout the day.

How do I book blue badge parking?

If you require pre-booked Blue Badge parking, please email: enquiries@athleticsworldcup.org with the required details:

• Vehicle (Make & Model)
• Vehicle Registration
• Blue Badge permit number
• Expiry Date
• Council that issued the blue badge

*Please note that Blue Badge parking on Saturday 14th July 2018 is currently full. If you are yet to book a space we would advise using the Blue Badge parking available at Westfield Shopping Centre and then using the Accessible Shuttle Service from next to Platform 13 at Stratford Station to access the Stadium.

Alternatively, there will be a shuttle bus in operation from Stratford station to the stadium. The free shuttle bus service will run at regular intervals between 3pm and 12am, from platform 13 at Stratford station to bridge 3 at the stadium.  There will be volunteers on hand to assist everyone in their journey, and there is no need to book this in advance.

 

Are there any wheelchair hire facilities?

There is no wheelchair hire at the stadium. Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park operates a service at the information centre, opposite the London Aquatics Centre, but it is worth noting that the opening times are shorter than the timings of the event. For more information visit the QEOP website here.

 

Can I bring a wheelchair with me?

Can I make my own way to the stadium in a wheelchair and then put it somewhere safe for the duration of the event.

Is that a service that the stadium will offer?

Yes, there will be a buggy and wheelchair store on the concourse. Our friendly stewarding team will be on hand on the day with locations. Please note that any items left are at the owners risk.

 

Can I bring medication with me?

Yes, all medication should be marked as such and you should only bring with you what is needed for the time period of the event.

Can I bring food and drink with me?

Yes, you can bring small quantities of food for personal consumption. No glass or alcohol is permitted.

Can I bring a bag?

Yes, though please arrive in good time to allow time for any bags to be searched on entry to London Stadium. Suitcases or large bags are not permitted. There are no left luggage facilities.  Bags will be subject to search procedures.
