London Stadium Sustainability and Restoration Fee

At London Stadium, we’re committed to looking after both our environment and our venue, so everyone can continue to enjoy world-class events here for years to come. To help support this, we’re introducing a £1.90 Sustainability and Restoration Fee on event tickets.

The fee will go directly towards making the stadium more energy efficient, supporting environmental initiatives, and helping with essential maintenance and upgrades across the site. It also plays a part in improving the experience for everyone who visits. Thank you for helping us protect and enhance London Stadium - now and for the future.

Why a Sustainability and Restoration Fee?
London is seen as a blueprint for delivering an Olympic and Paralympic legacy. As a busy multi-use venue, London Stadium has shown the world how a former Games venue can continue to deliver. This imitative helps us to secure and develop this legacy for decades to come.

Working towards carbon neutral goals is key to our work at the stadium and central to the Mayor of London’s Zero Carbon London plans. London Stadium plays a pivotal role in the LLDC (London Legacy Development Corporation) Climate Action Strategy due to its prominence as a key venue at the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and as a GLA (Greater London Authority) owned venue.

The funds generated from this fee will directly support our vital ongoing projects, including new sustainable initiatives and essential restoration works — helping us maintain and improve the stadium for the benefit of all who visit.

How will it work?

The £1.90 fee will be added at the point of sale for all event tickets, clearly communicated to attendees during the purchasing process.

How will it be used?
We will identify and prioritise projects that will have the greatest impact on reducing our carbon footprint and supporting the ongoing maintenance of the venue.

We want our attendees to see the direct impact of their contributions and feel proud to support a greener, well-maintained London Stadium.

London Stadium will present a summary of how funds are supporting both sustainability and restoration efforts in our annual report.

In addition, we’ll provide regular updates through our website, newsletters, and social media channels, highlighting ongoing projects, progress, and success stories.
